A presenter is an audible host or moderator presenting to the webinar audience through the Presenter Console, either through their device's camera and microphone or a dialed-in telephone line.

What should a presenter have available for the presentation?

It is recommended that all presenters prepare the following:

  • Reliable internet connection

  • Ensure an operating laptop or PC for each presenter with quality specifications for smooth performance

  • Check the system requirements from this link

  • Quality headset for each presenter

  • Caution against speakerphones due to poor sound quality and background noise

    • If using a speakerphone, place padding underneath to minimize interference

    • Ensure the speakerphone is away from computer fans, projectors, and air conditioning units

  • Avoid cell phones, cordless/wireless headsets, or phones prone to disconnection and interference

  • Hardcopy printout of presentation slides for contingency in case of technical issues

    • Print the same PowerPoint file uploaded for seamless referencing

  • Do I need Slack or Google Chat to communicate with the other presenters?

    • No! Team Chat in the Presenter Console allows presenters to communicate privately during webinars. Only accessible on the left-hand navigation bar.

  • What are the types of connections presenters need to join the webinar?

    • Webcam and Mic: Presenters connect with both webcam and microphone for a full video and audio experience.

    • Audio Only: Presenters can connect with audio only for scenarios where the video isn't essential, which is ideal for bandwidth limitations.

    • Dial-In: Webinar.net facilitates a dial-in option, allowing presenters to join sessions via phone. Accessible dial-in numbers are conveniently located by clicking the dial-in button or checking the information icon at the top of the toolbar on the left side of the screen.
