Component Configuration: Media Player
Updated over a week ago

The Media Player component plays the audio, video (webcam), and screen share for your webinar. For on-demand webinars, attendees can pause, fast-forward, or rewind the webinar presentation from the media player.

Within Interface Builder, the Media Player will be automatically added to all webinars.

Aspect Ratio

The aspect ratio is a common reason why a webcam is either described as HD or in terms of the number of megapixels. HD webcams, or webcams that are described in terms of 720p or 1080p resolution, have an aspect ratio of 16:9, which is a widescreen view.

When it comes to a webcam that has a normal aspect ratio, you are more likely to see the resolution listed in terms of megapixels. When you see a webcam for which the video resolution is listed in megapixels, expect the picture to be as tall as it is wide.

For fullscreen viewing use the third icon in the header to maximize the Media Player. To return the Media Player to its original state, use the escape key [esc].

On-Demand Controls

If the On-Demand Controls checkbox is selected, attendees will not be able to manually advance the webinar presentation during on-demand playback.

Audio Only Mode

This switch is only visible when the presentation source is a Media File.

If the Audio Only Mode checkbox is selected, attendees will view the webinar with the Media Player in audio-only mode.

This setting gives audience members a media player experience without any video made available!
